Mumbai:
Actors Vicky Kaushal and Harshvardhan Rane will star in Bejoy Nambiar's next film, which will be the remake of a Mani Ratnam's movie.
Bejoy is busy rewriting the Hindi version of Mani Ratnam's 1988 Tamil film Agni Nachathiram.
"We have got Vicky Kaushal and Harshvardhan Rane for the Hindi version of the film. Both Vicky and Harshvardhan suit the role. They are a perfect choice for the film. I have seen their work and they are amazing actors," Bejoy told PTI.
Harshvardhan, who is known for his Telugu films, made his Bollywood debut with Sanam Teri Kasam. Vicky won accolades for his performance in Masaan. He will soon be seen in Raman Raghav 2.0.
Agni Nachathiram is the story of two half-brothers and how their relationship transforms with time. Prabhu and Karthik played the lead roles in the film.
Bejoy worked as an assistant director for Mani Ratnam before he directed films. The lead actress for the film's Hindi version is yet to be finalised.
According to the Wazir director, the Hindi version of Agni Nachathiram is likely to go on floors this year.
"Besides working on the contemporary reboot of Agni Nachathiram, I am also working on another big film. But I can't talk about it," Bejoy said.
