Indian filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Hollywood film Broken Horses has impressed acclaimed Hollywood directors James Cameron and Alfonso Cuaron.
Mr Cameron, known for blockbusters like Avatar and Titanic, and Alfonso Cuaron, director of Gravity, were thrilled to see the film when it was screened for them recently.
"Broken Horses is an artistic triumph. Beautifully written, acted and imaged, this film wraps slowly around you like a king snake and squeezes," Mr Cameron said in a statement.
Set for an April 10, 2015, release, the movie "overwhelmed" Mr Cuaron too.
"The greatness of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's films comes from the act that all his characters are driven by love," said Mr Cuaron.
Set in the shadows of the US-Mexico border gang wars, Broken Horses is an epic thriller about the bonds of brotherhood, the laws of loyalty, and the futility of violence.
