Vidya Balan learnt Punjabi for her role in Ghanchakkar

Actress Vidya Balan was initiallysceptical to take up the role of a Punjabi housewife in herforthcoming movie Ghanchakkar.
After doing intense roles in The Dirty Picture andKahaani, Vidya was nervous to step into the unfamiliarterritory of a comedy movie with Ghanchakkar.
"When I was offered this role, I thought I could not doit. I am glad my director convinced me. I had fun doing thisquirky film. I hope people enjoy it too," Vidya told reportershere at the audio launch of Ghanchakkar.
To get into the skin of the character, Vidya learntPunjabi.
"First, I learnt bad words in Punjabi. I think it makesthings easy. I wanted to be comfortable and hence learnt thelanguage," she said.
Vidya has teamed up once again with Emraan for the comedythriller, being directed by Rajkumar Gupta of No One KilledJessica fame.
The song which was launched today is Lazy Lad a funnytake on regular household life.
