Mumbai: Actor Vidyut Jamwal, who is trained in martial arts, says women should understand their own power and superiority to protect themselves.
"I believe women need to be aware of what they are. They are superb, they are superior but they just need to be told that if somebody abuses them or treats them badly, then what all they can do," the actor said.
"That's why I am visiting various colleges and want to tell them 'you are strong people, stand up for yourself and you can, please do it'," he added.
The young action star was speaking at a college here. He was there to teach self-defence tactics to the girls.
"I feel women should be aware of who are the right people to be with and whenever, wherever they go, they should be aware," said the actor, who is trained in Kalaripayattu, a martial art form from Kerala.
