On Tuesday, the makers released the trailer of the Akshay Roy-directed project and it was quick to win hearts. The clip shows Anupam Kher essaying the character of a former swimming coach who despite being 69 years old has an adventurous soul. He is seemingly irked by people who treat him differently because of his age. The most intriguing part comes when Anupam Kher embarks on an unconventional journey by participating in a triathlon. The inspiring caption accompanying the post read, “Sapne dekhiye, umar nahi (See dreams, not age).
Vijay 69's trailer features Anupam Kher's challenging journey to secure a place in the triathlon competition. His friends, the triathlon competition board, coaches and others, all laughed or rejected his plea to participate in the competition at this age. But he was determined to prove everyone wrong. Showcasing grit and determination, Anupam Kher did not allow anyone to dampen his spirit and did his best to achieve the target. Whether he can fulfil his dreams or not is for Vijay 69 to reveal.
Vijay 69's two-minute-long trailer takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, presenting a range of emotions by the actor – anger, sorrow, grief and irritation. With Anupam Kher's powerful acting chops, the film is bound to strike a chord with the masses, making them feel empathetic.
