After Dahaad's Serial Killer, Vijay Varma Is Playing "The Nicest Guy" In Lust Stories 2

Vijay Varma is having a hard time convincing his fans that he is really “playing the nicest guy” opposite Tamannaah Bhatia in Lust Stories 2. There's a reason behind it. Fans are still not over his portrayal of a serial killer in his last series Dahaad. The discussion around his role in Netflix's upcoming anthology started when a user tweeted that she isn't hoping to see Vijay “creeping us out another time.” It was in reaction to the actor's tweet regarding the impact of his scary character in Dahaad, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Gulshan Devaiah. 

“The number of people telling me they have to put the lights on at night after watching Dahaad… phew… I am not paying for your fat electricity bills,” Vijay tweeted on Wednesday. Reacting to it, the user wrote: “I'm hoping Lust Stories mein you're not creeping us out another time.” That's when Vijay replied: “I'm playing the nicest guy in lust stories.”

Vijay Varma's “nicest guy” role was also confirmed by director Sujoy Ghosh. He reshared the promotional clip from his segment of Lust Stories 2, featuring the actor and Tamannaah Bhatia, on Thursday and wrote: “As Vijay Varma claims… he's the nicest guy in lusty stories….” In the promo, Vijay looks utterly smitten by Tamannaah as she leads a choir in a red saree. He continues to gaze at her till their eyes meet. It was released today.

We can understand why fans or movie buffs can't believe that Vijay Varma will actually play a protagonist in his new project. A quick recap for you to understand the context – Vijay played a serial killer pretending to be a nice professor and husband in Dahaad. Before that, he was seen as an abusive husband in Alia Bhatt's Darlings. The actor has also portrayed negative roles in the series Mirzapur and She. 

Vijay Varma has been garnering praise for his performance in Dahaad. His character Anand Swarnakar has been giving nightmares to his fans, as per this tweet:

Vijay Varma also re-tweeted a review where a user revealed that his wife thought Anand was a “good guy”. “My wife, who is a huge fan of yours, told me multiple times during Dahaad that Vijay Verma is a good guy. Ye police wale fasa rahe hai usko (the police is trying to frame him),” wrote the user.

Vijay Varma is not only trying to convince his fans but also his Dahaad co-star Gulshan Devaiah (not literally). Reacting to Vijay's “nicest guy” tweet, the Shaitan actor wrote: “Show proof.” Here's how their ROFL exchange unfolded:

When a user asked Vijay Varma to play “some more lover boy roles,” he responded: “On my way, ma'am.”

This user thought Vijay Varma was joking about his role in Lust Stories 2. So, the actor tweeted this.
