Vikram's Tamil movie <I>Thaandavam</i> passed with U-certificate
One of the roles played by Vikram is that of a blind man with the ability to echo-locate objects.
Chennai: Actor Vikram's Tamil film Thaandavam has successfully passed the censor board test, and has been awarded a U-certificate.

"Delighted and happy 'Thaandavam' censored and given clean U-certificate without any cuts. Hereby confirm release date as Sep 28," tweeted Dhananjayan Govind of UTV Motion Pictures.

The film, directed by A.L. Vijay, also stars Telugu actor Jagapati Babu, Amy Jackson, Anushka Shetty and Lakshmi Rai in key roles.

Director Vijay has made five films to date, and all of them have been awarded U- certification.

An action-thriller, Thaandavam tells the story of a RAW agent, played by Vikram, who avenges the injustice done to him.

One of the roles played by Vikram is that of a blind man with the ability to echo-locate objects.

The actor underwent special training under the mentorship of Daniel Kish, an expert in human echo-location, who also plays a cameo in the film.

Thaandavam is releasing worldwide on September 28.
