Vin Diesel and Paul Walker featured in seven Fast & Furious together

Actor Vin Diesel shared an emotional message addressing his Fast & Furious co-star, who died in an accident in 2013. Vin shared an old picture with Paul walker and said that he hopes that the latest film the series, titled The Fate of the Furious will make him proud. He said that Paul Walker gave him strength, purpose and resolve to go ahead with the franchise. Paul Walker died while the last film Furious 7 was in filming stage. The actor's brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker, completed his portion and the character, Brian O'Conner, was written off the film after he retired from the gang in the end.
In the Instagram message, Vin Diesel wrote: "The arduous road to production, the challenging task of filming this latest chapter. The record breaking trailer debut and the shocked world at what the dark road implied... you Pablo have given me strength... purpose and resolve. I promised you we would make something you would be proud of and I pray that we have... miss you. (Sic)"

Vin Diesel has high expectations from the eighth Fast & Furious film as he told Entertainment Tonight that the film may fetch an Academy Award. "I think he went into making this movie with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder, going 'Oh, really? OK. Now I'm going to take the biggest saga in the world, and I'm about to throw Oscars at you.' Wait till you see what he does'," he said.
Of his character in the film, Vin Diesel said: "It is different. It's very dark. My character is conflicted in a way that is really going to shock you. He's coming off of a lot of emotion from Furious 7 and the loss that it represents," he said.
Apart from Vin Diesel, actors Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell return to the franchise while other newcomers joining the cast include Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood.
