Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was scheduled to arrive in Delhi on May 4 for the promotion of his upcoming film Piku, has skipped his visit as he is suffering from viral fever.
Mr Bachchan, 72, tweeted:
The actor plays an ageing father to Deepika Padukone, in the comedy-drama. The film explores the dynamics of the father-daughter relationship as they take a road trip to Kolkata from Delhi.
Also starring Irrfan Khan, Moushumi Chatterjee and Jishu Sengupta, the Shoojit Sircar-directed film will hit theatres on May 8.
