New Delhi:

The Internet's Spidey senses are tingling after actors Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield recreated a live action version of the classic Spider-Man meme featuring a three-way web-slinger standoff. Tom Holland is the current friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man - his predecessors are Tobey Maguire who played the role in three Sam Raimi films from 2002 to 2007 and Andrew Garfield of the 2012 and 2014 reboot films. All three actors appeared as Spidey in Spider-Man: No Way Home which released last year and destroyed the box office. The actors are certainly good sports, bringing one of the Internet's favourite memes to life. FYI, there's an occasion - the streaming announcement; Spider-Man: No Way Home will be digitally released on March 22.

Tom Holland shared the live action meme on his Instagram, captioned simply with three emojis. "Legend," commented Jamie Foxx, who reprised his role as Spidey villain Electro for No Way Home. See Tom Holland's post here:

Everyone got THE meme - the makers of the film did as well, using it to announce the digital and blu-ray releases of Spider-Man: No Way Home which was last year's highest-earning film.

Twitter is naturally thrilled, with special mention for Andrew Garfield's commitment to a faithful recreation of the original meme:

Tom Holland also did this:

For those who somehow escaped the Spidey OGs excitement last year, the events of No Way Home are as such: Tom Holland's Peter Parker, outed to the world as Spider-Man by Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio in the previous film, turns to Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, to cast a spell undoing the damage; the Sorcerer Supreme's distinctly un-supreme spell instead let the multiverse in and with it, not only the two previous Spider-Men but also a rogues gallery of supervillains past.

While the trailers of Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed the return of some, among them Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, the presence of Andrew Garfield was kept secret - in fact, he straight up lied in interviews and even to ex-girlfriend Emma Stone, Andrew's co-star from the two Spidey films he starred in.
