Karan Johar directed the film Student Of The Year last year which had newcomers like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.

Karan Johar, who directed last year's release Student Of The Year, says he will now wield the megaphone next year.
"I take time to direct films as I also have responsibilities as a producer. I get busy in that. I will be directing again next year," he told the media at the ongoing FICCI Frames 2013.
After having moderated a session on the possibility of Indian films earning Rs 1,000 crore, Karan said he would want to make a film which would yield such results.
"I would like to make a Rs 1,000 crore film next," he said.
