Actress Ameesha Patel made a powerful comeback last year with the blockbuster Gadar 2. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film saw her reprise her iconic role as Sakeena, alongside Sunny Deol as Tara Singh. Utkarsh Sharma, the director's son, also returned as Jeete, Tara and Sakeena's son, in the highly successful sequel. After the film's release, Ameesha has openly spoken about her creative differences with the director on multiple occasions. In a recent revelation, she shared how Anil Sharma altered the film's climax, which originally featured Ameesha's character killing the villain.

On Sunday, one of Ameesha Patel's fans shared a YouTube link on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that Anil Sharma had originally planned that Ameesha's character would kill the villain in the film's climax. However, the director made last-minute changes to highlight his son, Utkarsh Sharma. The fan tagged Ameesha Patel and wrote, "We want to know if this is true."

In response, Ameesha Patel, “YES SAKINA was told that she would be killing the VILLIAN by the director but the climax shoot happened minus my knowledge. Let bygones be bygones. ANIL JI is family and he's aware of this and I'm sure he too feels bad now. Gadar 2 has already created history. Time to move ahead.”

Previously, Ameesha Patel talked about how she and Anil Sharma had differing views during the making of the first part of the Gadar franchise, and these differences carried on while working on the second installment as well.

“Even on the sets of Gadar, there were schedules that went on for 30-40 days for most of which I would not be talking to him [Anil Sharma] and he would not know how to convey something to me [directly]. It would only be conveyed through assistant directors. We've had our creative differences and that track record has carried on. We fight, we patch up,” the actress told Hindustan Times.
