Ms Marvel, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest offering is making all the right noises. The series, which features MCU's first Muslim superhero, traces the life of teenager Kamala Khan played by Iman Vellani. The show also boasts of a host of other big names from the sub-continent including superstars Farhan Akhtar and Fawad Khan. And now, Bollywood director-actor Farhan Akhtar's role, which has been a well-kept secret for a while now, has finally been revealed in the teaser of the show's fourth episode. The clip, shared online by Disney and Marvel's social media accounts, features Farhan as Waleed.
The clip begins with Kareem aka Red Dagger played by Aramis Knight leading Kamala into a mysterious chamber of sorts. As Kamala exclaims that it makes for a great hideout spot, Kareem says, “Usually, tourists are not allowed.” As Kamala continues to examine the room, Farhan Akhtar makes an appearance as Waleed and says, “But for a descendant of Ayesha's, I'm sure we can make an exception.”
Introducing himself, Farhan says, “My name is Waleed. Your great-grandmother's story is of legend. When you're ready, we have much to discuss.”
Sharing the video, the official Instagram page of Disney+Hotstar said in the caption: “Hume bohot kuch kehna hai aur aapko bohot kuch dekhna hai (We have a lot to tell you and show you).”
Earlier too, Farhan Akhtar had shared the trailer of the series which features a glimpse of the actor as Waleed. In the caption, Farhan can be heard quoting Rumi and saying, “What you seek is seeking you!" which also doubled as the caption for his post.
Farhan Akhtar had announced his association with the Marvel show in a social media post. Sharing the happy news, the actor posted a clipping of a Deadline report and said, “Grateful that the universe gifts these opportunities to grow, learn and in this case have a ton of fun while doing it."
In addition to Farhan Akhtar and Fawad Khan, Ms Marvel also features Mohan Kapur, Nimra Bucha and Mehwish Hayat in pivotal roles.
