Turns out, this blockbuster dialogue wasn't even in the Jawan script

Jawan writer Sumit Arora told PTI that the line was put in on the day the scene was filmed

Film Still

“That line was never there in our draft originally,” he said, adding that the scene was powerful enough

Film Still

“But while shooting, it was felt that there should be a line,” he said, explaining he was on set

Film Still

Asked to add a dialogue, the line was “the first thing that came out of (his) mouth”

Film Still

“It felt like the most obvious and most apt thing he should say,” Sumit Arora said

SRK made the difference: "The way SRK sir delivered it gave us goosebumps”

Film Still

Team Jawan never expected the dialogue to resonate with the audiences the way it has

Film Still

“As a writer, you can only write a line but its destiny goes on to write itself,” Sumit Arora said
