An emotional Farhan Akhtar added his voice to Amitabh Bachchan's to express his shock and angst over the gang-rape of a 23-year-old girl in the national capital.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote extensively on social networking sites, condemning the rape as "atrocious and unforgivable," and calling for "every Indian to become a vigilante."
Actor and director Farhan tweeted on 17th December, the day news of the brutal rape broke:
Yes we can stoop lower as a people. The Delhi bus gang rape is proof of that. Is justice asleep?
I believe swift and severe punishment is the only deterrent. These deviants are not afraid of consequence as it comes too little too late.
