New Delhi:
Actor Anil Kapoor's son
Harshvardhan will soon make his debut in Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's
Mirzya and in an interview with NDTV, Anil Kapoor said that he is "worried about his children."
"After 38 years, I still get nervous before a film's release. So obviously, I am worried about my children and when their films release," said Anil Kapoor.
The 59-year-old actor, who is the star of films like
Ram Lakhan,
Mr India,
Parinda and
Beta, is happy with the trailer of
Mirzya.
"He has been presented as an actor and an actor is what he aspires to be," said Mr Kapoor.
Harshvardhan has also been signed for
Bhavesh Joshi and Mr Kapoor is pleased with the choices Harshvardhan has made.
"He is working with two fantastic directors," he said.
After Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan, Mr Kapoor has been signed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for
Fanney Khan. Sonam has worked with Mr Mehra in
Delhi 6 and
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
"Yes, he had approached me with this film eight years ago. And as my family says, I am a space cadet. I finally decided to do it and I am excited about it. It's the adaptation of an Oscar-winning Belgium film," he said.
So, is Sonam eyeing American Shores too for a ticket to Hollywood?
"Well, she had offers even when she was sitting in Mumbai but her recent trip to Los Angeles had nothing to do with work. But luckily for her, she is known. Thanks to my contacts. But yes, it would be nice for her to do other cinema. It could be American, Chinese. There are opportunities," said the actor.
The actor was all praises for Priyanka Chopra who made her television debut last year with the American TV series
Quantico and will soon make her debut in Hollywood with
Baywatch.
"But if there is one actor who can take the big leap, it is Priyanka Chopra. She can go beyond this as well. She is supremely talented," said Mr Kapoor.
Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is expecting her first child with husband Saif Ali Khan, will star in Mr Kapoor's daughter Rhea's film
Veere Di Wedding.
"That would be the highlight of the film," he said.
The second season of Mr Kapoor's
24 will hit the small screen on July 23 and the actor is also bringing
Prison Break and
Modern Family to Indian screens. So, will Indian audiences be okay to see a gay couple like the original?
"Well, that would be the USP of the show," said Anil Kapoor.
But what about the
sanskari censor board?
"Well, I have faith in the censor board and also the change is coming. People, the youth, will bring the change," he said.
So, will there be a season 3 of
24?
"300 per cent," said Anil Kapoor.
