Preity Zinta had accused Ness Wadia of having attacked her at an IPL match.
Mumbai:
After almost eight months of silence on the subject, the Wadias have finally spoken about actress Preity Zinta's complaint of molestation against Ness Wadia on June 13, 2014. Ness' mother Maureen Wadia spoke to the media recently at the Mumbai auditions of the Gladrags Mrs India 2015 auditions.
"We are very reclusive people and we seldom talk to the media. Having said that all I want to say is that whatever she has done is completely uncalled for and has left all of us in a very bad taste, apart from this the matter is subjudice and I wouldn't want to talk about the case," Ms Wadia said.
Wadia Group scion Ness and Preity dated for almost five years between 2005 and 2009. During that time the two became co-owners of the IPL team Kings XI Punjab. On 13 June 2014, Preity filed a complaint with the Mumbai police alleging that Ness attacked her at an IPL match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 30 May.
