SS Rajamouli's RRR is going places. The film has been nominated in 2 categories for next year's Golden Globe Awards. It has been nominated in the Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song for the track Naatu Naatu. After the Golden Globe nominations were announced on Monday evening, the film's director SS Rajamouli shared a tweet, thanking the jury as well as the audience. "Thanks to the jury at Golden Globes for nominating RRR in two categories. Congratulations to the entire team...Thanks to all the fans and audience for your unconditional love and support through out," read SS Rajamouli's tweet.

Meanwhile, Jr NTR, who starred in the lead role alongside Ram Charan, tweeted this: "Delighted that RRR has been nominated in two categories at the Golden Globe Awards! Congratulations to all of us... Looking forward."
The film released across the globe in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam simultaneously. The film also released in Japan as well as the US and has been submitted for consideration in various categories for the Oscars next year.
RRR, set in the 1920's, is based on two legendary freedom fighters - Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. It boasts of an impressive cast which included Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles. It also starred Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson. The film opened to largely positive reviews from film critics and needless to say, an overwhelming response from the audience, both in India and across the globe.
