Actor Ranbir Kapoor may come from a family of acting greats but the Bollywood star said that he seldom discusses his work with his father, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor.
Ranbir and Rishi have different sensibilities when it comes to movies but the 32-year-old actor said he looks up a lot to his father.
"My father says it as it is. He is not a hypocrite. When he saw Barfi!, he told me acting is good but don't do arty films. His cinema is very different and he sometimes expects me to follow it," said the actor during an interview. (Also Read: I Generally Don't Like Ranbir's Film, Says Rishi Kapoor)
For Ranbir, his father's honest views matter a lot and he is happy that Rishi liked his work in upcoming film Bombay Velvet.
"I am lucky to have that in my life. It gives me a reality check. His are the opinions that I look up to. It may take 15-20 years but I will keep trying to make him happy. The movie directed by Anurag Kashyap is a period piece and hits the theatres on May 15.
