For Arjun, it was a 'surreal' moment to share the stagewith his superstar uncle for the first time."I have been a fan of this man. So it is very difficult toexplain what I am feeling right now. "It is a very proud moment that I can today stand at thesame footing as him. It feels very surreal. I took a flightwith him to come down to Delhi. I think I have spent more timewith him than I have in the past few months as he was busywith his work and I have been shooting. It is a nice way tocatch up with a family member," said Arjun.
Masaba, whose latest collection was titled 'Demi Couture',was happy to have the two men as her show stoppers."Sonam is my lucky charm and anything that comes from heris great. So it was amazing to have these two men on the ramptoday.
"I have been a fan of Anil Kapoor since I was young and Iloved Arjun in Ishaqzaade," said Masaba.
The couture collection was a capsule of 25 pieces, whichexplored a combination of experimental silhouettes withtextile fabrications, colours, sheer textures and patch workedprints.
The clothes were a combination of romanticism andmodernity, giving a novel spin to exquisite classics.Tailcoat jackets were paired with lace shararas, gownswere given high necklines and lapels, and the Saree was drapedover a sheer jumpsuit.
Masaba, who is known for her funky prints, this time, usedflower motifs on her clothes.
"I X-rayed flowers and engineered them as prints onfabrics. The motifs of Daffodil, rose, iris, lotus and cosmoswere interpreted via various techniques and the botanicalpatterns have been patch-worked, embellished, cutout andrecreated as lace along with other textile fabrications," thedesigner said.
