India's daily viral caseload is steadily climbing and so is our anxiety. The deluge of appeals on social media for urgent requirements through posts, reposts, story uploads can often be distressing. In such challenging times, we could all do with some positivity. And Mouni Roy's latest post on Instagram serves as a balm. The actress posted a series of bright, cheerful pictures that give you a brief but certain break from the gloom that surrounds us so closely. In the throwback pictures, Mouni is seen in the midst of sunflowers. She looked stunning in a black-and-white slip dress with smokey eyes completing her look. The caption simply, but quite powerfully, said: "Take a detour".
The Instagram post received more than 5 lakh likes in a span of a few hours. Mouni's telly industry friends including Asha Negi, Arjun Bijlani, Monica Sharma, and Adaa Khan were quick to shower her with love and appreciation in the comment section.
Earlier, Mouni, who has also been sharing posts on COVID resources and helplines of late, wowed fans in a bright yellow saree. In the photos, the 'Naagin' star was captured performing a religious ritual. "Praying for everybody's well-being," she said in the note.
Prior to that, she had posted a snap of herself immersed in a book and also one from her outing on a rocky beach. In the latter, she was probably in a mood to channelise her inner poet as the caption read, "Love the world as you would love yourself. #OfSonnetsAndSunsets".
Mouni will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's fantasy trilogy, 'Brahmastra' which features Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles. The 35-year-old will reportedly play the role of an antagonist in the movie.
She was also seen in a spy thriller film, 'London Confidential' and recently featured in a music video titled 'Patli Kamariya'. The actress has also been grabbing headlines for her relationship with rumoured beau, Suraj Nambiar, a banker.
The two have reportedly decided to tie the knot soon. Mouni had ushered in 2021 with Suraj and his family in Dubai.
