Actor Robert De Niro failed to recognize actor Christian Bale when he met him in his new look for the film American Hustle.

When Robert De Niro met the entire cast, he asked director David O Russell who the overweight guy was.
"After he met everybody he said, 'Who is that guy?' I said, 'You just shook his hand, that's Christian Bale.' He said, 'No, that guy.' I said, 'Yeah, that's Christian Bale.'" Huffingtonpost.com quoted David O Russell.
The crime drama also featured Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner.
