London:
After news that pop star Lady Gaga wants to essay the role of late singer Amy Winehouse in the latter's biopic, the grapevine is abuzz that a hunt is on for a suitable actress for the project.
TV channels have been in touch with the late star's family, demanding a consent to make a bio-series about her, reports thesun.co.uk.
"The feeling is there wouldn't be an actress under 30 who wouldn't want to play her. The first job is to get financial backing from co-production companies in the States. Some are showing interest because it's a sure-fire money-spinner. They know anything Amy-related is going to be a huge success," said a source from Winehouse's family.
Amy Winehouse, 27, was found dead in her home in Camden July 23 after a long battle with drugs and alcohol.
