Alia has decided to play it safe when it comes to answering questions about her film with SRK
Mumbai:
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt may be gearing up for the release of Shaandaar, but it's her film with actor Shah Rukh Khan that has a lot of people interested. However, when we asked Alia about the film at the Shaandaar interviews recently and whether she was indeed romancing the King, the usually forthcoming actress decided to play it safe. "I don't agree with your statement, but I am excited about doing a film with Shah Rukh Khan and to be directed by Gauri Shinde," she said.
Alia's sentiments were shared by Gauri Shinde. In an interview to the Indian Express , the English Vinglish director was quoted as saying, "It won't be as typical as one expects a man and woman to be together."
SRK is 49. Alia is 22, so there is a fat chance that the film will be your typical boy-meets-girl story. Gauri Shinde has tasted success with her first film English Vinglish and we know that she is an expert story teller. Alia and SRK are a casting coup and our sources tell us that while the makers are very thrilled with the concept of the film, they do not want to position their movie as a romantic film, a reason perhaps why the usually chatty Alia had her guard up.
In only her second film Alia was paired opposite Randeep Hooda who is 17 years her senior. We don't think the actress has much to worry about, considering age is just a number and SRK is the 'king of romance'.
