A still from Khatron Ke Khiladi
New Delhi:
Arjun Kapoor, who hosted the seventh season of the television reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2016, will not be anchoring the new season due to his packed schedule, reports news agency PTI. Arjun's spokesperson told PTI: "Arjun Kapoor hosted the reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi last year. However this year he won't be able to host the show for the second time as his hands are full with three films." The spokesperson added: "Arjun will be shooting and promoting his two films, Half Girlfriend and Mubarakan back-to-back and he has another new film to be announced soon."
The 31-year-old actor had informed the makers of the show in advance about his packed schedule. "He ("Arjun) shares a fantastic relationship with Colors but he won't have adequate time this year to dedicate to the new season (of the show). Arjun had conveyed this to the channel well in advance so that they can find a suitable replacement of the host," the spokesperson said.
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is likely to return as a host for the show, however, there is no official confirmation yet.
Arjun Kapoor had made his Bollywood debut with the 2012 movie Ishaqzaade co-starring Parineeti Chopra. He was last seen in R Balki's Ki & Ka (2016) along with Kareena Kapoor. The Gunday actor will next be seen in Mohit Suri's Half Girlfriend co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. The film is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on May 19. Arjun Kapoor will also feature in Anees Bazmee's next venture titled Mubarakan along with Anil Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz and Athiya Shetty.
