In an interview to etonline.com, George Clooney, 54, opened up about his fears for his wife of almost a year.
"It's a dangerous place to be right now. I'm very concerned with her being there, quite honestly," he said.
He also confessed that the worst thing about being married to a woman who puts herself in 'harm's way' to protect others was she wouldn't let him travel with her. "She's a grown woman with her own career, but it's tough when they're stabbing her co-counsel in the head a couple of days before she gets there.
"But she's doing the right thing and she's doing it for the right reasons," he added.
Amal is defending Nasheed, who was given a 13-year prison sentence for alleged terrorism. Amal has called the sentence a 'mockery of justice.'
