Priyanka Chopra is one busy bee these days, what with new film Barfi! and working on her first music album. But that's not the reason for her sudden and long absence from Twitter. Priyanka, who's among the most active of the Twitterati, was missing from micro-blogging action for 10 days.
On July 15, she tweeted:
And then, silence. Unusually for her, there was no response to the flood of congratulatory messages that poured in for her on July 18, for her big 30th birthday.
Then, on July 26, she was back online and had this to say:
Self-explanatory? Priyanka was reportedly upset over some less than complimentary tweets posted on her page by followers and that put her off Twitter for a while.
We can't say we'd enjoy having nasty comments made about us for all to see - but, then again, developing a thick skin is almost a prerequisite to life in the rarefied world of Bollywood.
