Why Salman won't touch Siddhant Kapoor
Mumbai: Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhant may have finally landed a role in Shootout at Wadala. But the newcomer was to be initially introduced by Salman Khan and later by Sanjay Dutt and ironically now, he finds himself being launched by Sanjay Dutt's nemesis Sanjay Gupta.

Shakti, who is currently a participant in a reality show, had confessed in one of the recent episodes that he had rubbed a superstar, who was to help Siddhant make his Bollywood debut, the wrong way.

He also stated that he had messed up his relations with the star while in an inebriated condition and that he regretted it later.

Says a source, "Shakti was referring to Salman. As Shakti was in an inebriated state, he later realised what he had done. But it was too late to make amends."

Adds the source, "Siddhanth was then being considered for the remake of Satte Pe Satta, which is being produced by Sanjay Dutt. But as the project has yet to take off, he decided to move on."

Siddhant who is also a DJ, essays the role of a sharpshooter in Shootout at Wadala that also stars Anil Kapoor and John Abraham.

Says Sanjay Gupta, "Siddhant has an independent identity of his own and deserves to be on the big screen. Plus he is a very talented and a good-looking boy."
