A still from Dabangg
Mumbai:
After essaying the character of the villain Chedi Singh in Salman Khan's Dabangg, there was no looking back for Sonu Sood. Incidentally, while several characters from the film have been retained in the sequel, there is no sign of Sonu.
A source says, "Both Sonu and Arbaaz were keen on the film. However the track was not doing justice. Prakash Raj will be playing the lead antagonist in the film now."
Arbaaz says, "When we started working on the film, we were ideating on a track for Sonu. I also narrated the track to him and we both realised that it was not doing justice to the film or to him so much. We thought we had to be true to the film, and the relationship we share. We mutually decided that we would work together in some other film in the future and omitted the scenario."
