Dhanush will be seen opposite Sonam Kapoor in Raanjhnaa

While it could be expected that Dhanush's name may not be too familiar with the Hindi-speaking audience up North, Raanjhnaa director Anand Rai tells of an incident that could change perceptions.
Says Anand Rai, "On the first day of our shoot in the bylanes of Varanasi, there were almost 200 people watching the shoot from top of their buildings or even neighbourhood trees."
Dhanush apparently wanted to improvise on the scene given to him. And as soon as Rai called cut, the entire audience broke into an applause.
The director adds, "I really couldn't believe it as I didn't expect people there to know Dhanush."
