He may have topped the Forbes celebrity list in 2014, but life continues to be difficult for Salman Khan. The actor has been on the wrong side of the law on more than one occasion and Wednesday saw the Supreme Court set aside the Rajasthan High Court order which stayed Salman Khan's conviction in the black buck hunting case. The order has also hit Salman's travel plans as the actor will now not be able to travel abroad to countries that deny visa to a person convicted in the court of law.
While there has been speculation about how his films will be affected in the process, we take a look at the current projects that he is doing and whether they will be impacted.
Salman, ironically, is shooting in Rajasthan right now for his next film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film, that also stars Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles, will be shot in India entirely and will not require the actor to leave the country.
After Salman wraps up Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he will start shooting for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo starring Sonam Kapoor. It has been a while since we saw Salman do a family drama and director Sooraj Barjatya promises to do just that with his film. Sources say that even Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will be shot entirely in India.
After Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Salman will shoot for Dharma Productions' Shuddhi . There are also chances that the Ek Tha Tiger sequel would have a plot that requires him to shoot in India entirely. Salman was denied a visa to UK for Kick. The producers had to suffer huge costs considering almost all the logistics were taken care of. When the film finally released, it grossed Rs 250 crore worldwide, more than making up for the losses.
His situation with the law may be tense, but Salman Khan remains one of the most bankable stars in the industry.
