Kiran Rao's eight-month-old sonAzad is keeping the filmmaker so busy that she is unable towrite her next script.
Kiran, 38, who made her directorial debut with husbandAamir Khan's Dhobi Ghat, says spending time with the tot isthe best thing in her life.
The couple became proud parents of Azad Rao Khan onDecember 1. The baby was born through IVF to a surrogatemother.
"I am busy with my baby. I love spending time with him andI feel this is the best phase of my life. Aamir also tries tospend as much time as he can with him. Everything else in lifehas taken a back seat. I am writing something currently but Idon't know how it will shape up," said Kiran, who was in theCapital to attend 12th Osian's Cinefan film festival.
Dhobi Ghat was screened at the ongoing film festival andKiran said she is honoured that the organisers chose the filmto be a part of it.
"I am happy that they showcased my film here. It was not amainstream film and I have presented Mumbai the way Iperceive it. It's good that such film festivals give privilegeto certain films which are not popular," she added.
Kiran is all set for their first family outing in Chicago,where Aamir will be shooting for Yash Raj's Dhoom 3 nextmonth.
"We are heading to Chicago in the first week of August. Itwill be our first family outing and Aamir and I are excitedabout it," she said.
