Akshay’s Holiday recently made over Rs 100 crores
Kolkata:
The advertising brigade has roped in Akshay Kumar for an ad campaign to promote hosiery products, as they believe the success of his recent hit Holiday is bound to rub off on it.
Holiday, with Khiladi Akshay Kumar playing the lead, crossed the Rs 100-crore mark at the box office in less than three weeks.
The TV commercial "Fight Without Fighting" launched recently by Dollar Industries Limited shows Akshay, its brand ambassador, displaying both physical and mental fitness.
"Since he has essayed many comic roles, the ad shows his humorous side too. With Akshay's tremendous popularity pertaining to acting and fitness, people will be drawn towards our product," said Vinod Gupta, the company's managing director.
"And with Holiday becoming a hit, it is bound to have a positive impact on the campaign. We have already received good responses in the last three to four days, since the campaign went on air," he said, adding that this is the fourth TV commercial with the actor.
