Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am is thankful for the lack of romance in his life as it helps him concentrate on his music.
The Boom Boom Pow' hitmaker considers himself a "loser" when it comes to love and was rejected many-a-times by girls as a teenager, reported Contactmusic.
"Ever since high school, I would like a girl and they would say, 'I see you as my brother'," said the rapper who has frequently been linked to British popstar Cheryl Cole.
But the failures pushed him to excel in hip-hop.
"But it kept me out of trouble. If I'd had it the way I wanted in high school I wouldn't be focused on my music and I'd probably have a billion kids by now," said the artist.
The 35-year-old however does not mind being linked up to beautiful women by the media and finds the speculation funny.
"The me and Cheryl rumours? Those are funny. I thought those rumours were cool. They weren't true but they were cool. They were cool rumours," said Will.i.am.
