Actor Will Smith has reportedly asked for $50 million to star in Independence Day sequels.
The 43-year-old, who played the lead role of Captain Stephen Hiller in the 1996 alien invasion movie is also asking his wife Jada Pinkett Smith and daughter Willow to play a part, reported Contactmusic.
"It's complicated because of where and how Smith wants toshoot, he wants to be close to home, to the kids. There's alsobeen talks about him wanting Jada and maybe even Willow in the movie too," a source said.
Roland Emmerich is set to direct the movies, and studioFox is keen to have the scripts delivered soon, and isreportedly prepared to do the films without Smith.
