Swathi Puraskaram,the highest musical award of Kerala government, was presentedto noted singer KJ Yesudas at a function in Thiruvananthapuram.
Speaking on the occasion, the 71-year-old announcedthat he is donating the award amount of Rs one lakh towardsthe fund set up by the government to help the aurallychallenged children.
Education and Cultural Affairs Minister of Kerala State, MA Baby presented theaward to Yesudas in recognition of his outstandingcontribution to music and culture.
