Ranbir Kapoor, who turns 40 today, has been receiving a whole lot of love and affection from his family, friends and fans on social media. Among all the birthday wishes (we are still waiting for his wife Alia Bhatt's post), the award for the sweetest one goes to his mom Neetu Kapoor. The veteran actress called Ranbir her “best friend” and her “strength.” She also described the birthday boy, who has been basking in the success of his latest film Brahmastra, as her “Shakti Astra.” In her note, Neetu Kapoor wrote about how her late husband, actor Rishi Kapoor “would have been the happiest and proudest” over Ranbir's “milestones” this year. Sharing a photo of herself and Ranbir smiling with all their hearts, Neetu Kapoor started her special note with these words, “This has been quite a milestone year for you, for us.”
Ranbir Kapoor married his girlfriend, actress Alia Bhatt in April this year. A few months later, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child. His film Brahmastra was also released in theatres with a bang this month.
Neetu Kapoor, in her note, added, “Miss your father as he would have been the happiest, proudest. I am sure he is orchestrating from up there. Happy birthday, love you the mostest, Rana. You are my Shakti Astra. Best friend. Strength.”
Reacting to her mom's post, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni dropped several red heart icons in the comments section.
On her Instagram Stories, Neetu Kapoor has shared a combined birthday wish for Ranbir Kapoor and her sister-in-law Rima Jain. Sharing a family photo, Neetu wrote, “Happy happy birthday Rans and bua. Lots of love.”
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni was also among the first ones to wish her brother Ranbir Kapoor on social media. She has picked a photo of the actor from his wedding album and wrote, “Happy happiest birthday, baby bro.” The picture features Ranbir holding a photo of Rishi Kapoor during his pre-wedding festivities.
