High School Musical star Zac Efron is all set to fight underworld to win the affectionof his lady love in a new movie.
The actor has signed to star in Fredrik Bond's action-romance, which was previously titled TheNecessary Death of Charlie Countryman. In the film, Efron will play a suburban kid, who travels to Eastern Europe to discover himself.
Early on in his journey, he falls for an alluring young woman and the only thing standing between them is her charismatic, dangerous ex from a criminal underworld. Armed with little more than his wit and naive charm, Efron endures one bruising beat down after another in order to woo the girl he loves and achieve salvation.
Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa, of Bona Fide Productions, will produce the film along with William Horberg.
