Zeta Jones turns down Vivien Leigh role
London: Hollywood star Catherine Zeta-Jones has turned down the chance to portray screen legend Vivien Leigh, so she can spend more time with husband Michael Douglas, who is being treated for throat cancer.

The Oscar-winning actress was approached to play the star of cult hit 'Gone With The Wind' in the movie, My Week With Marilyn, reported Daily Mail online.

Leigh was the wife of Laurence Olivier and the film revolves around him making the film The Prince And The Showgirl with Monroe in 1956.

The Mask of Zorro actress was approached to take Vivien Leigh's part, but she refused saying that she didn't want to be away from her husband for a long period.

The film's producers and director Simon Curtis have been auditioning other actresses and are close to making a decision about who will portray Leigh.
