Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Leo', starring Vijay in the lead role, is dominating the global box office. The film, which released on October 19, has left behind Martin Scorsese's 'Killers Of The Flower Moon', starring Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio. However, there is another reason why the film is trending online. A few days ago, music composer Anirudh Ravichander and the makers of 'Leo' dropped the song titled 'Ordinary Person' on YouTube. Soon after, several internet users claimed that the song was heavily "inspired" or "copied" by the popular British drama series 'Peaky Blinders'. Netizens reached out to composer Otnicka and pointed out the similarity between his song 'I'm Not Outsider' and 'Ordinary Person' from 'Leo'.
Now, Otnicka has reacted to the controversy. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 'Peaky Blinders' composer thanked his followers for the hundreds of messages about the movie 'Leo'. But he also added that the situation is still unclear as of now. "I can see everything, but it's physically impossible to answer everyone...The situation is very unclear..." the artist wrote on social media.
Further, Otnicka said that his team is looking into the matter and he will give an assessment "little later" of everything that is happening. He also stated that he is not accusing anyone yet.
"We are looking into this and a little later I will give an assessment of everything that is happening. But I'm not accusing anyone yet," Otnicka wrote on Instagram.
In the comment section, the artist also pointed out that he was unaware of his song being used in the film 'Leo'. "The label does not own the copyright and cannot grant a license without the artist's knowledge. No one contacted me and the team," he wrote.

Meanwhile, despite this controversy, the film's box office performance has been impressive. According to a report by Variety, the film has managed to collect $48.5 million (after four days) and it has left Leonardo DiCaprio's Killers Of The Flower Moon behind at the global box office, which has garnered $44 million.
The movie, directed by Lokesh Kanagarajm, is part of 'The Lokesh Cinematic Universe' which also includes 'Kaithi' and 'Vikram'.
