The monsoons are here! But along with it comes the dread of humidity which could be taking a toll on your lovely tresses leaving them dry and frizzy. The first spell of showers may have brought a huge respite in the sweltering temperatures, but we know how the pitter patter is pulling all the life out of your locks. Well worry not, with these magic ingredients from your kitchen pantry, you can stop the weather to turn into a gloomy affair for your hair and enjoy it to the fullest -
1.Olive oil
Massaging your head with olive oil adds moisture to dry hair. It is rich in vitamin E and antioxidant elements that help to deal with damaged and frizzy hair. Apply the warm olive oil on your scalp and massage thoroughly. Wrap your hair in a warm towel and wash off with lukewarm water after an hour.
2. Banana
Profuse with vitamin K, B6, C, dietary fibre and protein, bananas are not only a powerhouse of nutrients for your overall health, but they can also work wonders for your hair. Banana contains natural hydrating properties. Using banana and olive oil mask will nourish your hair and leave them hydrated each time you step out of your house. Take a handful of banana slices and mash them. Now, add some olive oil and mix well. Apply the mask on your hair and rinse with lukewarm water and mild shampoo.

3.Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is fast taking over the health and beauty circuit and how! Applying aloe vera mask on your hair will help you combat all the monsoon woes like a pro. Take 3-4 tablespoon olive oil and heat it for 8-10 seconds. Now, add about 4 tablespoon of aloe vera and 2 to 3 tbsp of egg yolk into olive oil, and mix well. .Apply the mix over your hair using a brush and leave it for about 2 to 3 hours. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
4.Eggs
Eggs work wonders for dry hair. An excellent source of protein, they help to strengthen and repair damaged hair and also add moisture to dry hair. Take two eggs and separate the yolk from the whites. Add a little water to the yolks and a tablespoon of honey. Beat until the mixture is slightly fluffy. Apply the mixture all over your hair, and keep it on for 30 minutes before washing. Rinse with mild shampoo and see the change for yourself.
6. Fenugreek seeds
It helps in conditioning your hair and making them soft. Soak 50grams of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Next day, crush them and make a fine paste with olive oil or honey. Apply this paste on your scalp and hair strands and let it sit for about 30 to 45 minutes. Rinse it off with mild shampoo and cold water.
7. Yoghurt
Yoghurt acts a natural conditioner and moisturising agent for dry hair. Nourish your hair with the goodness of yogurt. Just take plain yogurt and apply it all over your hair and scalp. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then rinse.
