Experts at the University of Massachusetts Amherst have discovered that underweight teenage girls may be at a greater risk of experiencing early menopause starting at the earliest during their 30s. Early menopause has further been linked to triggering other ailments like cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis and cognitive decline among others.
Dietary choices to prevent early menopause

3. A diet rich in fibre, essential fatty acids, protein and other important micronutrients is crucial to stave off risks of early menopause
4. It is important to maintain your blood sugar and pressure levels and monitor your alcohol intake. Avoid smoking and excessive processed food consumption. Keep a watch on your bone strength, exercise regularly, keep stress at bay and get enough sleep.
