An exceptional VJ, wonderful singer and now a Bollywood actor, Ayushmann Khurrana has made his way into the industry with his selection of interesting movies that have a social message. After slaying it in his recent flick Bareilly ki Burfi, Ayushmann is now ready to rock his new movie Shubh Mangal Savdhan with Bhumi Pednekar, which releases today. Ayushmann has not only come a long way since his first film Vicky Donor in terms of his acting skills, but also when comes to his fitness. The lean actor worked hard to get to six pack abs and attain the right physique. Let us take a look at how Ayushmann Khurrana got in shape.  


Ayushmann Khurrana’s Fitness Routine         


Ayushmann has an ectomorph body type, which means he had a lean and skinny frame before and therefore, he had to gain muscle. Recognising this problem, he worked hard on it with his personal trainer Vinod Channa, a Mumbai-based trainer and fitness expert. Despite his deep love for aloo paranthas and butter chicken, he managed to counter his food fetishes with a rigorous exercise routine and a strict diet. Here are some secrets from his workout and diet routine.

1. Jogging

The Shubh Mangal Savdhan actor makes it a point to jog every day.

2. Weight Training

He indulged in weight training to gain muscle strength.

3. Strict Diet

He was given a strict diet chart. In one of his interviews, he shared that he gave up eating carbs after 6 pm. His daily diet was a mix of lots of protein and fiber, and healthy carbohydrates.
 
4. Drinks a Lot of Water


He drinks plenty of water to keep his metabolism going which helps him maintain his weight.

Despite his disciplined routine, Ayushmann manages to get a cheat day or two when he likes to indulge in sweet treats. His mother loves to make him his favourite atta ka halwa when he is home and we have proof. He posted a picture of him posing with the halwa. He captioned the picture saying, “Whenever it rains/pours, my mom makes this amazing atte ka halwa. Also, known as kadaa prashaad in punjab. My eyes become small just like my mom's, when I smile ear to ear. I eat everything. I live to eat. Eating, sleeping, acting/music. My life follows that order.
