Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: In January, Union Minister and local MP General (Retired) VK Singh had directed district administration and health department to take all precautionary measures to deal with swine flu.
Twenty people have tested positive for swine flu in Ghaziabad, Chief Medical Officer Ajay Agarwal said on Saturday.
"Of the 72 samples sent for testing, 20 have been found positive," said Chief Medical Officer Ajay Agarwal. These samples were sent for testing after patients with swine flu-like symptoms came to the district hospital for a check-up, he said.
Maximum suspected cases were cured by doctors at the Out Patient Department (OPD), he said, adding, that there is no need for people to worry or panic. "We have enough stock of medicine to treat swine flu," said District Malaria Officer Gyanendra Kumar Mishra.
