Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh:
Three men on a motorcycle robbed two employees of an iron merchant of Rs 25 lakh in Ghaziabad, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday night in Kotwali area when the employees were on a scooter with the money bag placed under the driver's seat.
The men on the motorcycle approached them and one of them escaped with the scooter after pointing a pistol.
Superintendent of Police Ajay Pal said Ghaziabad's traders were routinely disregarding police warnings on how to transport money.
"We have on several occasions suggested to traders not to carry huge amounts of cash but the traders are taking police suggestions very lightly and allowing junior staffers to do so," he said.
The two employees who were looted were being questioned, Mr Pal said.
