Ghaziabad:
An elderly woman was today found murdered with her throat slit at her residence in Indirapuram area in Ghaziabad, police said.
The victim, 74-year-old Raj Kawatra, was alone at her house when the incident took place.
According to police, her husband, who was at a bank when the incident took place, found her wife bleeding when he entered the flat by breaking the door.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Police said that some jewellery and Rs 3,000 in cash were also reported missing from the flat.
Police said efforts are on to trace a maid, who is reported to be missing after the incident.
