Ghaziabad:
An elderly man was shot at on Monday and robbed of Rs five lakh by three men on a bike in Ghaziabad, police said.
The incident took place when 56-year-old Satbeer Tyagi, who works in Haryana Jal Board at Faridabad, was going home along with his 22-year-old son after withdrawing money from Oriental Bank of Commerce's Mandola branch, they said.
The bikers blocked their road and tried to snatch the bag but the father-son duo resisted their attempts, following which one of the bikers shot at Satveer.
The bullet hit his stomach and bikers fled with the bag, police said.
The man was rushed to Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital in Delhi, they said.
