Ghaziabad:
Adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful Eid in Ghaziabad, the District Magistrate said today.
"Heavy enforcement of paramilitary forces have been deployed in sensitive areas of Shaheed Nagar, Kaila Bhatta?and outside of all mosques of the city," District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma told reporters in Ghaziabad.
The District administration is duty bound to maintain law and order at any cost, he said, adding no person, irrespective of his affiliations to any political party, caste, creed or religion shall be spared, if found indulging in any disruptive activity.
Meanwhile, a peace march was organised by the prominent persons of Muslim and Sikh communities here to denounce the communal violence, loss of life and property at Saharanpur.
