Ghaziabad: A car was stolen outside a marriage home in Indirapuram in Ghaziabad, allegedly along with two children inside the car.
The car's owner, working in a leading private bank, said on condition of anonymity, that he had gone to attend a marriage in Vaishali in Indirapuram last night along with his sons, aged 6 and 8.
He went inside the marriage hall but left his sons in the car. He also allegedly forgot his car keys. When he realised he had forgotten the keys, he came back only to find the car and his children missing.
The man said that the accused later dropped his sons on the way, near the marriage venue.
Police have registered a case of car-theft, but denied reports that the children had been taken.
"The accused made the children get off the car before fleeing with vehicle," Ranvijay Singh, deputy superintendent of police, Ghaziabad said.
