Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad administration will launch on Tuesday a drive against encroachment of public land by traders and illegally parked vehicles.
"The administration is receiving regular complaints regarding traffic jams and encroachment. The major cause for the jams was encroachment by traders outside their shops and parking of vehicles of their customers. The administration is determined to free the roads from encroachment," Additional District Magistrate Preeti Jaiswal said.
She said the police and civic body were apathetic to public complaints.
Notices were also being sent to banquet hall owners and traders, and cooperation was sought from traders' bodies to make the city encroachment free.
